Craig Rakow

1958 Graduate of Dundee High School

1962 Graduate of Bradley University


Per Tom Mammoser, Executive Director of the Dundee Township Park District, he believes that this inaugural award for Craig will magnify as an example to the community the significance and value that one person can have in the community and beyond. 

Craig has unselfishly served the community for nearly fifty years.  He has served on boards with a wide range of groups, service organizations, governmental serve and personal causes that Craig has truly believed in.  He has served internationally through Rotary International in Chernobly and in Jamaica to help establish a medical clinic.  Craig has been president of the Dundee Township Rotary, the Dundee Jaycees, The Dundee Business and Professional Association and the Dundee Township Park District board.  He has served as the chairman of the Cardunal Area Chamber of Commerce and the Dundee Main Street Program. Very importantly Craig has served as a founding member of the D300 Foundation for three years as the nominations chairman. 

Craig embodies the spirit of District 300 and the Foundation through his tireless efforts to serve others for the good of all.
