Description This is without a doubt one of the cutest
art pieces in the collection of desks. The detail the artist places in the little puffs on all fours, the wood grain
shades of brown that depict a chocolate lab, the unique styling of using friends and teachers pet dogs on the desk, and all
the whimsy of it's face, floppy ears make this a great treasure for any dog lover, veterinarian, humane society or shelter
volunteer.

Artists Statement: Christine Milostan has several collections of art that she has been working on over
the years. She explains: Evolution of an Artist collection includes watercolors that capture the essence
of a particular locale or subject of nature. Favorite places I have visited have a lasting impact on my life and work.
My Irish Impressions collection shares with the viewer the rich, fertile valleys and undulating hills of the Emerald
Isle while my Treasures from Tuscany paintings portray the colorful shutters and cobbled streets warmed by the
Tuscan sun. In my Sultry Sounds of Color abstract series I express the synergy and sensual fluidity of both
languages". The Desks on Parade exhibit,
Teacher’s Pet, has a new unique definition! The desk shares photos of pets collected from friends and colleagues. Dogs provide us with unconditional love, companionship and are considered
man’s best friend. We share our homes and lives with them. They come in all shapes, sizes, and breeds. We try to
teach them tricks and reward them for their efforts. They make a deep impression on our hearts. As an adult educator, Christine understands that the role of the teacher
can be challenging. They spend endless hours and energy preparing children in their educational “home”. Teachers
praise, discipline, and share many hours of the day with their students. They reach, impact, and inspire minds of a diverse
community. Students also hold a special place in a teacher’s heart. Both the student and teacher are rewarded
by their time together!
About the Artist Christine is an art instructor at the Fine Line
Art Center in St. Charles. She is also an adjunct professor at the College of DuPage and a Creativity Advisor at
DePaul University. Her art education has taken her to Florence Italy to study at the Florence School of Visual Art.
She received her Bachelor of Arts from DePaul.
